Creator Enrique Gamboa at his showroom opening in the early 1970s in Tijuana. The original Cabrillo Collection, developed and produced in iron by Gamboa with the Bucola Family out of Los Angeles and brought to market by Hauser Furniture in San Diego, has since evolved. Today, it has been elevated to sophisticated aluminum and is now featured in some of the most upscale showrooms in Chicago, London, New York, Miami, Dallas, and Los Angeles, courtesy of the San Francisco Bay Firm Michael Taylor Designs. Enrique Gamboa, in collaboration with the Hauser brothers from Hauser’s Patio and Hauser Contract, also brought these designs to Acapulco, Mexico, in the late 1960s.
